Software start-ups see venture capital investments weakening along with the economy. While other business technologies rise, such as biotechnology, medical devices, and energy, software is seen as a more mature industry and venture capitalists are looking to new avenues such as ‘clean tech,’ resulting in a slowing investment in software.
