Rivalries Keep Tennis Alive

I was disappointed this year when French Open champ Justine Henin announced her retirement. I had no idea that she was completely burnt out. She was supposed to win again and set a new record for consecutive wins.
Tennis is somewhat exciting when something like this happens because it opens up a spot for someone else to win and climb in the rankings. And when there are rivalries like the one between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, things stay interesting. In addition, when you have sisters like Venus and Serena Williams playing in the same tournaments, you tend to stay interested.
