Perhaps you are getting ready for your first tattoo.  Perhaps you are feeling nervous about it.  Well don’t worry, there have been many people before you and they have all survived!  To make you feel more comfortable let’s look at the tattoo machines.

The tattoo machine was invented by Thomas Edison in 1876.  Its original purpose was as an engraving machine but was modified to be used for tattooing.  Since then things have changed greatly and now use electromagnets which can control needle depth, force, and speed of application.  This enables great accuracy and makes the whole thing much safer – and less painful.

If you are looking to become a tattooist you can visit a tattoo supplies wholesale to see what is on offer.  Once you know the model you are after you can buy it or check online for tattoo machines for sale.  Once you get your machine you can be assured that the technology used in it is a big advance on the one invented by Thomas Edison.
