Beaches of Malaysia

Posted on April 18, 2009 - Filed Under Travel

When one thinks of vacation, one often thinks of a beach. Any beach really, and in Malaysia, the opportunity to sit and do absolutely nothing on a long stretch of white sand with clear blue water surrounding, brings peace to those needing it in this hectic and work driven world. Some think of vacation time as just that, the time to do nothing, while others do enjoy various activities and adventures. Whichever one prefers, one is able to find that in Malaysia. Whether one would like to fly through a bay at top speed on a jet ski, or sit with a glass of wine on the balcony of a Malaysian hotel, there are options and a variety of locations to find those options, over one thousand options, actually.

There are resort beaches such as those located throughout Kuala Lumpur. For just outside this metropolitan city, there are a few destinations which create the feeling of being miles away from it all. Surrounded by tropical landscapes and ancient architecture, tourists can escape for the day, but still have access to the Internet, a vibrant night life, and all the comforts of home. At Sabah the beaches are gorgeous and abundant. Most of the landscapes are unspoilt, and the rich marine life of the underwater world, tempt many here for scuba diving and snorkeling. The stretches of beach and the coral reefs attract many visitors.

And as stated previously, there are thousands to chose from, but one favorite among the population living in Malaysia, and among those traveling from other destinations in Europe and the States, has become Emerald Bay. Emerald Bay sits on the western coast of a tiny island. The water in the bay is green, rich emerald in color. The weather of this island is year-round incredible, making this the perfect spot for those wanting to get away, at any given moment. For a hike through the lush, tropical landscape, a dive in the bay with an under-water camera to capture the beauty and the life in the waters, or for those…who would just like to sit, and do nothing.
