The human chakra system is complex. It is accepted that there are 7 main chakras in the system, each chakra has a different purpose and function in the body. These chakras are energy centers. Although there are an infinite number of ever smaller chakras in the system we generally focus on the main 7 as they connect into all of the rest via a variety of connections. The first chakra is is associated with the color red and is about our survival. From the first chakra comes the will to live. The flight or fight emotion the reactions that we come tot for survival. The second chakra is associates with our creativity and the color orange. This is where ideas and imgination come from. The third chakra is associated with the color yellow. It is the chakra of awareness, from the this chakra we know what we are doing and have the abitily to understand why we do it. This chakra is where we begin to build karma. The forth chakra is the heart charka it is associated with the color green. Compassion and caring cone from here. From here is where we express love, feel empathy and so on. The 5th chakra is the throat chakra it is associated with the color blue and is where our communication comes from, here is were we will effectively or ineffectively communicate our needs, wants and desires. The 6th chakra is the third eye. This chakra is associated with the color indigo It is from here we have out intuition our ability to plan and see the future. The last chakra is number 7 the crown chakra. It is the top back to the head and is associated with the color indigo. Here is were we connect to our spirituality. When we have issues with a chakra it will effect the emotions and systems that are associated with that chakra. It will also have an effect on the ofter chakras in the system. None of these chakras function independently and therefore all effect each other. I found this information fascinating as I read this article at a Goa spa resort last month.
