Winter Stews on the Grill

There’s a spectacular feeling that comes when you start to cook outdoors. It doesn’t have to be just in the Summer, you can cook outdoor all throughout the year. You’ll see that our outdoor grills are extremely useful, even into the cold months. It’s also certainly true that having an outdoor kitchen suggests a lifestyle that sees food as an art, as well as having the magic to bring people together. Still, it’s very practical, and adds a lovely touch to the home and every meal cooked there. Imagining the pleasures of a Summer meal cooked outside might summon ready images of lazy days and terrific parties. Imagining Winter meals brings this fantasy into a whole new dimension.

But the good news here is that it’s not simply a fantasy, it’s possible. With our grills, cooking through the Winter months means that the same precision and care can be applied to the holiday menus. Taking the necessary steps to making your outdoor kitchen your new reality probably means you’ve already considered how to keep the grill out of the elements. During the Winter it could be necessary to move the set-up closer to the house, so your time spent outside is minimized. Preparing the food ahead of time is just as necessary as it was before, only perhaps a bit more so. These are all minor considerations, really, given the enormous benefit of having these flavors available to you all through the seasons.

Thinking through the logistics is simple enough, and it will soon turn to one of the best pleasures of having an outdoor kitchen: daydreaming about food. You can certainly entertain with the same creations that you’ve made during the Summer, and it’s a lovely touch to enjoy a fantastic barbecue in February. But there are also all the Winter foods that are suddenly possible on the grill. The same rules for winter camping can be applied here, where the ideal is a hearty meal cooked with savory care. Imagine the splendid taste your favorite stews will take on when they have the extra love and flavor that your outdoor grill can offer. The sky is the limit here, and the grill is always open!
