Super Charlotte Speed

Click, Click, Click, Up, Up Up you go was the way of the early roller coaster ride. Each click put another butterfly in ones stomach as the heights set slowly into the brain of each rider. The grip getting harder on the save me bar and some are already starting to squirm. Then there is the inevitable pause at the tippy top of the bend and car by car the train shoots into action barreling down the long track. Swishing into one turn and swooping up into a surprising loop and over it goes along with every ones sunglasses off the head. Wow, now just as one realizes it is OK to relax a bit it shoots into the ending tunnel and breaks to a stop and everyone is ready to go again. You too can have such a thrill if you get out of your quiet room at one of the many luxurious hotels in Charlotte and sign up for some adventure at the Carowinds . There may not be quite as much clicking because the rides are so smooth these days but the thrill is the same and if you like roller coasters and your going to love it.
There is even a new ride called the Intimidator named after Dale Earnhardt that is going to make you quiver. Speaking of NASCAR drivers and speed there is also the new NASCAR Hall of Fame opening in Charlotte. If you are going to be in town any time after May 11 than you can check it out. They are so excited to share the wonderful history of this great American sport with the many fans. It looks like there are going to be some drivers around to sign autographs so maybe this will be your chance to get a scribble from a favorite of yours.
