Inspired by Nature

The journey of life is full of ups and downs. Through the highs we realize the joys in life and how blessed we really are and through the lows we are better able to appreciate the highs and all that we have been given. During this journey we all have moments when we know we are on the right track, we are moving in a positive direction, and getting where we want to go. But there are also times when we flounder. We don’t know where to turn next or if what we have been working so hard to achieve is really what we want at all. It is during those times that we have to look outside ourselves for motivation, direction and inspiration. And one of the best places to go for inspiration is to nature.
It is hard to put into words just what draws us to nature. Perhaps it is a common bond we share that pulls us together and allows us to be in awe of a sunset or gaze in wonder at the endless oceans. There are so many things in nature from the tiniest plants to the largest mountains that give us a renewed sense of hope and determination.
While we often have to travel a great distance to commune with nature, the city of Calgary has truly embraced it. It is truly a city within nature. With almost 700 natural areas they are taken great steps to protect the natural plants and animals while stilling allowing residents from Calgary apartments and surrounding communities to enjoy them.
To really embrace nature it helps to know a little something about what you are looking at. Nature classes can help you learn new hobbies such as bird watching or gardening. You can also learn a lot about the plants and animals in area.
Taking an active role in nature can really help open your mind to new ideas and perspectives. Hiking, biking, or kayaking is a great way to spend some quality time in nature and, perhaps, experience it in a way that you never have before. Joining a group to help clean up a park and plant some trees is also a great way to gain a new sense of purpose and give back to the community.
Embracing nature doesn’t come easily to everyone; especially if you are more accustomed to city life. It’s okay to move at your pace and find the way that speaks to you. Once you have found your special spot you might want to rent an apartment or a timeshare so that you whenever you need to get away you can.

There is so much beauty in nature. No matter where you go there is always something new and unique. There is nothing like getting away and just taking in all of nature that is around you.
